a side to go with many chicken dishes, great on its own as a salty late night snack
INGREDIENTS
Serves two or three as a side
1/4 cup vermicelli
3/4 rice
1.5 TBSP butter
2 cups chicken stock or water 2 tsp chicken better than bullion
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic power
1 tsp + parsley dried or fresh 1 TBSP
1 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp black pepper
salt to taste (you’ll need a lot, but add as you go)
PREP
Melt butter medium heat
Brown the vermicelli and rice
Add water and spices
Bring up heat to boil
Stir turn down heat to medium low
Cover and cook until done
Turn it off and let it sit there while you finish other stuff
